Robber, his nephew held for murdering rival

New Delhi: A 34-year-old man with his nephew was arrested by Crime Branch of Delhi Police for his involvement in the murder of a rival gangster.
Police claimed that the accused were involved in daylight robbery where Rs 5.1 lakh had been looted at gunpoint from an Amul Milk Distributor in September.
According to police, the accused, identified as Parveen (34) and Pankaj (22), who were arrested after the team led by ACP Shweta Singh Chauhan received credible information that Parveen and another gang member would be coming to Narela.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Joy Tirkey stated that on interrogation, Pankaj admitted to his involvement in the brutal daylight murder of one Rahul on July 15 last year.
Rahul was a gangster and had numerous cases of robbery registered against him.
DCP claimed that Pankaj along with his associates Vicky and Deepak had stabbed Rahul to death.
The accused suspected that Rahul was passing on information about their gang to the police. Vicky and Deepak are still absconding.
Delhi Police Headquarters has declared a cash reward of Rs 50,000 on any information leading to Vicky's arrest. The other accused Parveen admitted having committed the sensational day light-armed robbery of Rs 5.1 lakh from an Amul Milk Distributor. The accused had waylaid the Milk Distributor near Railway road, Badli.
