Rejig in Delhi govt, Madhup Vyas becomes Env secretary, Varsha Joshi gets North Corp

NEW DELHI: A major bureaucratic reshuffle in the Delhi government took place on Friday by which several IAS officials got new positions. In this reshuffle senior IAS Madhup Vyas who was the commissioner of the North MCD will now be the secretary of the Environment Department and transport commissioner and Power Department secretary Varsha Joshi would be the new North MCD commissioner. In this reshuffle, IAS officer Rajeev Verma got the Revenue department and he would also handle the post of transport commissioner as an additional charger.

Senior IAS and health secretary Sanjeev Khirwal got the Secretary(GAD) post. Another IAS official Manish Saxena who is the PWD secretary now got the additional charge of Tourism department and Labour department. Along with these changes, IAS Ruchika Katyal became the joint secretary of LG and Dilraj Kaur IAS, got the charge of East Delhi Municipal Corporation as a commissioner.
