Real estate firm, officials booked in property fraud
New Delhi: The Economic and Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police where a buyer even after paying more than two crore rupees did not get the possession of three units. Police said that they have booked the real estate company and it's officials.
Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) Suvashis Choudhary told Millennium Post that they have registered a case and started their probe.
Police said that a case has been registered on the complaint of Pawan Chawla who had booked three units in the project named "Grand Vanezia" in the year 2007 and had paid a sum of Rs 2,77,14,337 and possession was promised within 3 years.
"However, neither the possession has been given nor the money was returned," said Addl CP. Three official of the company were booked by EOW. A case under sections of 406/420/120-B of IPC at EOW police station has been registered.
Police said the complainant along with his wife met the company officials. They were briefed about the upcoming project.
The complainant were told by the company officials that all approval related to construction has already been taken and the project will be having world class amenities along with glass fish aquarium, Venice theme, 5 star hotel along with
cineplex.
Police further added that the company had offered the complainant discounted rate to allure them and further offered that he shall be given space of their choice. Later the complainant alleged that he was cheated.
Director of real estate firm arrested
The EOW of Delhi Police arrested a director of real estate firm for cheating.
Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) Suvashis Choudhary told Millennium Post that accused Sarabjeet Paul Bajaj, a native of Mathura arrested in case under sections 420/406/120B IPC at EOW police station in court of CMM Saket.
The case was registered under section 156(3) Cr.P.C. by Ld Cmm Saket court New Delhi.
"The complainant Raj Mutreja invested in the project of Shorya Housing Pvt Ltd of accused at Vrindavan Mathura and invested around Rs 1.38 crore approximately. Neither project was delivered nor amount was returned," said Addl CP.
The accused SP Bajaj is already in judicial custody for more than a year in case arrested by EOW in multi victim case.
"The present case is of single victim registered on the direction of CMM SE Saket court. He was sent to JC in the present case," police said.
