Rash driving to blame for vehicle collision

New Delhi: "A car driven at high speed came flying on our vehicle rooftop and the fire started," said Imran, one of the victims where three persons died in vehicle collision in Anand Vihar area on Wednesday. The police claimed that eyewitnesses told them that the Eco Sports was driven rashly at the time of the incident. "Garv Sehgal (deceased) and Akshay Jain (injured) were in the Eco Sports. They were going home at the time of the incident," said an investigator.

Imran who was in another vehicle was going with his friend Abdul and Shamshad towards Anand Vihar when they met with the accident. "Imran told us that suddenly another vehicle landed on the rooftop of their car which led to fire," said an investigator. Commuters and local police pulled out three persons from inside the two vehicles but Abdul was charred inside the car. According to police, they have registered a case on the statement of Imran against the occupants of Eco Sports vehicle. "FSL team will visit the spot for further probe," police added.
