Ranhola double murder was 'revenge killing', 3 arrested

NEW DELHI: With the arrest of three accused, Delhi Police has solved the double murder case of Ranhola in Outer Delhi where two bike-borne men Neeraj and Deepak were killed. Police said that it was a revenge killing as one of the accused Deepak Tiwari was beaten up by one of the deceased Neeraj and his friend Sachin Thapa.

On January 6, Deepak Tiwari along with his brother Suraj Tiwari and his friend Srikant armed with pistols zeroed in on Sachin Thapa and Neeraj to take revenge. They opened fire at Sachin, Neeraj and Deepak. While Sachin managed to escape, the two others Deepak and Neeraj were killed in the attack.

According to Police, Sachin Thapa and Neeraj are budding criminals of Jai Vihar. Both were drug addicts. They used to extort money from locals for their drug demands. On December 16 , Sachin Thapa and Neeraj (deceased) had beaten up accused Deepak Tiwari and demanded money from him and some other boys in the area of Jai Vihar. Deepak Tiwari got injury in his eye and face. He made a PCR call and his MLC was prepared. He made a complaint against Sachin Thapa at Police Station Ranhola.

"Sachin Thapa was pressurising him through local boys to withdraw his complaint but Deepak Tiwari felt insulted about his beating and planned to eliminate Sachin Thapa and Neeraj. His elder brother Suraj Tiwari and his friend Shrikant joined him in plan. Deepak Tiwari already had a pistol and other weapons, which he brought from Chhapra, Bihar. He procured these weapons to teach a lesson to a boy, who kidnapped his sister in August-2018. He had also one stolen motorcycle which was stolen by him from the Najafgarh area," said
