Public Facilitation Kiosk and Interactive Panel at IGI

New Delhi: Now you can get your petty complaints registered online at Delhi IGI airport without approaching to cops as Delhi police on Tuesday inaugurated a Delhi police facilitation kiosk and interactive panel at forecourt of T-3 terminal at IGI Airport. The move has been taken for switching in towards e-reporting system. Its service is available 24X7 to the public and manned by the dedicated police facilitations officers round the clock for assistance.

This kiosk has following online citizen services features provided by Delhi Police such as lost and found report, missing report, registration of e-FIR, lodging of complaints, MV theft e-FIR, Theft e-FIR, stolen vehicle search, reporting of economic and cyber offences, Police Clearance Certificate, Character Verification Report, Missing/Stolen Mobile Phone Report, Filing of RTI, etc.

The idea behind the commissioning of this kiosk is to provide better police-related services at one point without requiring public to search and go to the police station and thereby, saving vital time of the passengers. This facility would also be extended to terminals T-1 & T-2.

LG, Delhi Anil Baijal in the presence of Delhi police Chief Amulya Patnaik inaugurated this Public facilitation Kiosk having interactive panel for facilitating of online services of Delhi police. LG, Delhi has also launched 'Prahari Scheme' for IGI Airport Unit of Delhi police for ensuring active participation of private security guards and chowkidars in order to combat crimes.

IGI Airport Unit has en-rolled 600 Praharies from the 11 Hotels and 3 commercial centres of Aerocity and other institutions of Airport complex. "To get the best professional support, they have been trained by IGI Airport Police in many fields like checking & frisking, self defence, keeping watch on doubtful elements, information gathering & sharing," Sanjay Bhatia, DCP IGI Airport said.
