Prime accused in dacoity case in Dabri arrested

New Delhi: The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested a dacoit for his involvement in a robbery of over Rs 10 lakh rupees in Dabri.
Police said the accused, identified as Wasim Akram, was arrested from Dwarka.
"Akram is a member of the Shiva Suri gang. A country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession," said DCP (Crime) Bhisham Singh on Sunday
Police said that Akram was the mastermind of the dacoity that took place in Dabri on January 7, wherein he and eight other associates, including a woman, had robbed cash worth Rs 13.70 lakh from employees of a trader.
During investigation, four of the accused, namely Rajkumar, Rajesh, Amit and a woman Asha Sharma, were arrested, but Akram and the others were still at large.
On February 2, Akram was arrested by a team, formed under the supervision of ACP Aditya Gautam and led by Inspector Yashpal Singh, from near a ground behind the CGHS dispensary, Sector-14, Dwarka.
