Prashant Vihar murder: Police scan deceased's past records

New Delhi: A day after 30-year-old man was shot dead by unknown armed assailants in Rohini's Prashant Vihar area police now are scanning his criminal records to know whether the murder was related to some past cases.
The deceased was identified as Ravi Bharadwaj, a resident of Alipur, Outer Delhi.
Police claimed that Ravi had some criminal records in the past which are under investigation now. "We have not made any arrest so far and the investigation is on from all possible angles," said Rajneesh Gupta, Rohini DCP, adding that raids are going on to nab the accused.
The murder took place on Monday. Meanwhile, an alleged CCTV of the incident also emerged in which three men were seen shooting on Ravi in a crowded intersection of a market. The pedestrians were seen running away as soon the firing started. The men then sat in the car and fled away.
When asked whether it is a fallout of a gang-war, a senior official claimed that right now they cannot tell anything as they are probing the matter. The suspect accused can be gangsters. A case has been registered in this regard.
On Monday night, another incident took place in which a man was shot at by three boys in Narela area.
