'Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Kendra bearing fruits'

New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Chairman Naresh Kumar said the seed sown by setting up the first-ever Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Kendra (PKVK) at Mandir Marg here has started fruiting, by extending better opportunities in securing respectable and better livelihood to unemployed youth.
On Sunday, Kumar said that out of the 390 skilled trainees in the first batch of the PKVK who appeared in the final examination, 175 secured placement in prominent healthcare, pharmacy and solar power companies.
Kumar said the 1.080 trainees were enrolled in all job roles, comprising 588 female trainees and 492 male trainees.
The NDMC Chairperson further informed that the Council's PKVK will provide skill training for 5,000 unemployed youth annually through its short term training modules for nine job roles of healthcare and solar power sectors.
