Police waiting for CCTV footage

New Delhi: Delhi Police is waiting for the CCTV footages of an alleged incident in which Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain was assaulted by a mob in Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Mandeep Singh Randhawa informed Millennium Post that they haven't got any CCTV footage of the whole incident for which they have requested the city government to provide the same. "The case was registered against unidentified persons… and hope that they (government) give us the footages in few days, only then we can proceed the case," said the DCP.
In his FIR Hussain claimed that he could identify those persons who were involved in the assault. The incident was reported on Tuesday morning hours after Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was allegedly assaulted by few AAP MLAs. When the minister reached the Secretariat few people in the office didn't allow him to take the elevator to his 6th-floor office.
"In Secretariat, people who were there told me that they will teach a lesson to AAP MLAs and Delhi government ministers," claimed the minister in his FIR. He was heckled and pulled out from the lift and his mobile was snatched. He further added that he was held hostage and beaten up by those people. His staff was also attacked, he further alleged.
Meanwhile, the AAP government also released a video showing Hussain was held captive in the lift at Delhi Secretariat. "We have registered a case in this regard and the investigation is on," said a
police officer.
