Police probes cheating case
New Delhi: A case of cheating is being probed by Delhi Police IGI unit where the complainant claimed that he was duped on the pretext of a job. Police said that complainant was given a fake appointment letter.
According to police the case was registered on July 21. The complainant told them that he is the native of Maharastra. Through Facebook, he came in contact with one Deepak Kumar Rai who called him to meet at IGI airport. "On January 21 complainant met Deepak who said that his interview will not take place today. Deepak took the money and other documents from the complainant," police said. After two days an appointment letter came in What's app and later Deepak took more money from the complainant.
Later complainant came to know the appointment letter was fake.
