Police interrogates 50 suspects
New Delhi: A day after the Hindi channel news team was attacked at Barapullah flyover, the investigating agency has so far questioned 50 suspects in this regard. Police said that raids are being conducted in Delhi-NCR to arrest the assailants involved in the crime.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Dr G Ramgopal Naik said that they are working on some leads."More than 16 teams have been formed comprising of Southern Range and Crime Branch. Raids are being conducted in Delhi-NCR," added DCP Crime.
He further stated that forensic examination of the vehicle was done and sketches of the two assailants were made. "We are in touch with the victim. So far more than 50 suspects were questioned," added DCP Naik. The investigators further added that they are scanning en route CCTV footages of the area where the incident was reported.
Three shots were fired at the crew of a Hindi news channel by unidentified men on Barapullah Road in South Delhi on Sunday. The case was registered immediately.
