Police commissioner Patnaik inaugurates IGI Police Station
Next time you visit the Indira Gandhi International Airport's Police Station there are chances you might get confused mistaking it for a corporate house.
The new building equipped with modern amenities and round the clock power back up was inaugurated by Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik on Friday.
Moreover, the station is one of its kind as it is child friendly police station which has a colourful children room equipped with toys, games, Beanbags and soft rubberized mats with attached washroom.
The police station also has a modern lounge for visitors near DO Room with LCD screen for running display of all the mandatory guidelines instead of traditional boards.
The building consists of a modern conference hall next to DCP office with all modern facilities such as PA system, projector.
It also boasts of a business centre equipped with four computers along with high speed internet connection and an all in one multipurpose machine for photocopy, scanning and printing to facilitate the IOs in their day to day work.
A well equipped washing area with laundry facilities for staff and a recreation room with indoor games are other important features of the building.
