Police arrest Anubhav Mittal's wife

Noida: The wife of Anubhav Mittal, who is accused mastermind of running Rs 3,700 online Ponzi scheme, was arrested by UP police's special task force on Monday, officials said on Tuesday.

Anubhav's wife Ayushi Agarwal was arrested from Pune in Maharashtra. Police have already arrested Anubhav's father Sunil Mittal after both were declared as accused in the case. Sunil was one of the two directors of the company while Ayushi was made an additional director of Ablaze Info Solutions Private Limited after she got married to Anubhav and was directly responsible for the affairs of the company. "Following repeated attempts to trace the accused, Ayushi was finally arrested from Sai Ganga Society in Khondwa area of Pune. She was absconding after the incident and a non-bailable warrant was issued against her" said Rajeev Narayan Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of police, Special Task Force.

"Upon interrogating the accused, she told police that Ablaze Company was registered from Registrar of Company's office in Delhi at an address in Chandini Chowk in Delhi on 7th September 2010. Anubhav and Sunil were the directors while Ayushi was made additional director on 3rd March 2016, after getting married to Anubhav" added Mishra.

The company launched an online social media portal named Socialtrade.biz, swindling Rs 3,700 crore from around 7 lakh people, who were promised handsome returns by clicking on web links.

The UP STF team successfully busted one of the biggest internet scams in February 2017 and arrested Anubhav along with two of his colleagues.

Ayushi, belongs to Pilkhuwa town in UP's Hapur district. Around five cases under different IPC sections have been registered against the accused in various PSs of Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad districts.

"Ayushi will be presented in Pune court where we will demand Transit Remand of the accused and will bring her to Gautam Buddh Nagar where further proceedings against her will be followed" continued Mishra.
