PM Modi to address farmers at annual Krishi Unnati Mela in New Delhi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address farmers at the annual Krishi Unnati Mela here on Saturday.
The three-day mela got under way on Friday with a focus on doubling the farmers' income.
"The theme of the fair is doubling farmer's income by 2022. Krishi Unnati Mela is aimed at creating awareness about the latest technological developments in the agriculture and allied sectors among farmers," Prime Minister tweeted.
Mr Modi will also inaugurate the Jaivik Kheti portal and lay the foundation stone of 25 Krishi Vigyan Kendras. He will also confer the Krishi Karman Award and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhaya Krishi Vigyan Protsahan Puruskar.
