Petrol pump manager found dead inside car in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: A body of a petrol pump manager was found lying on the driving seat of an abandoned car along with Rs 11 lakh cash near Karheda power station in Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad on Tuesday morning.
The man has received three bullet injuries and two mobile phones were also found from the car, said police officials.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as 32-years-old Sonu Sharma who was a resident of Vijay Nagar area. He worked as a manager at a petrol pump.
"We received the information from a local person that a WagonR car has been parked in his field. Upon reaching the location, we found that the victim was shot three bullets in his body and a packet containing Rs 11 lakh in cash along with two mobile phones were found lying beside his seat," said a senior police official.
The owner of the petrol pump where Sonu worked was contacted upon which he informed that Sonu left the pump to deposit Rs 17 lakh in bank on Monday morning. "As he didn't return till the evening, we contacted the bank who informed us that he didn't come. Following which we informed police immediately," said the owner of petrol pump.
"The body has been sent for the post mortem and our investigations are on," said Anoop Singh, Additional Superintendent of police, Ghaziabad.
