Personnel of security forces celebrate Republic Day with gusto and fervour

New Delhi: As residents of Delhi on Friday celebrated Republic Day amid tight security cover, the security forces too observed the day and organised several programmes at different campuses.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) said that the 69th Republic Day was celebrated at the Delhi airport, under elaborate security arrangements, with fun and gaiety.
CISF personnel presented a few demonstrations, displaying their professional and combative skills, including an impressive show by their dog squad.
The national flag was unfurled by Ranjit Narayan, Executive Director (Security and Vigilance), Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), at Terminal 3 of the International complex.
This was followed by a Guard of Honour, presented by the CISF personnel, attired in the colourful ceremonial clothes.
The Guard of Honour contingent also included personnel from the Security and Fire wing of DIAL.
The huge gathering also witnessed amazing performances by CISF personnel in weapon handling and tactics, which included demonstration by commandos of Quick Response Team.
The sharpness and skill exhibited by the CISF Commandos got thunderous applause from the huge gathering, including staff from various organisations who had gathered to take part in the Republic Day Celebrations at IGI Airport. The dog show, starring the CISF dog squad, involved various exercises which attracted huge appreciation from the gathering.
A large gathering of passengers, staff and others were seen applauding and enjoying the events till the last second.
Meanwhile, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) also celebrated Republic Day in its campus.
Chief guest Sunil Joon, Deputy Inspector General, CRPF hoisted the National Flag, in the presence of officers and jawans.
The troops of the VIP security training centre and units demonstrated drills and other activities, including a Bhangra Dance performance, on the occasion.
Joon also awarded commendation letters and prizes to the best participants and congratulated all officers, jawans and their families.
