PCR staff rescue man from burning car

New Delhi: The officials of Police Control Room (PCR) rescued one man trapped inside a burning car in Shastri Nagar area, said officers on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (PCR) Sharat Sinha said, on December 9 at about 6:54 am, the PCR mobile patrol van (MPV) were present at Shastri Park signal. They noticed a Hyundai i-10 car hit a Tempo from behind. The PCR MPV staff immediately rushed to the spot. In the accident, the car was damaged and heavy smoke and fire broke out in the engine of the car.

"Assessing the situation, the PCR MPV staff immediately pulled out the driver from the car. The MPV staff extinguished the fire by using fire extinguisher kept in MPV as well as dust from the road at the spot," said DCP Sinha. The timely action of the MPV staff saved the precious life of the occupant of the car.
