Over 60 persons fined for honking, shouting at ISBTs

NEW DELHI: The Transport Department of Delhi has fined over 60 bus drivers and conductors for honking and soliciting passengers by shouting at the inter-state bus terminuses (ISBTs) in the city. The Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation had last week decided to fine erring drivers and conductors, in an attempt to bring down alarming levels of noise pollution at ISBTs. "So far 43 drivers have been fined for honking inside bus terminals and 21 conductors have been fined for shouting to solicit passengers," said an official.
