Over 5,000 children participate in SDMC Children's Day event

NEW DELHI: South Delhi Municipal Corporation on Saturday celebrated Children's Day at Ambedkar stadium by showcasing the skill of 5,000 children through a colourful presentation of cultural and folk dances, aerobatics and physical exercise, which mesmerised one and all present in the stadium.

SDMC Mayor Narender Chawla praised the teachers' role in all round development of its students and stressed on the need of innovations and character building among students. He added that innovations in schools will go a long way in making students an intellectual property of the nation.

He also stated that the children are the future of our nation hence, "SDMC is concentrating on developing a scientific attitude in them."
