Over 10 shops burgled in Gurugram's Badshahpur

In a daring incident, a group of robbers burgled nearly 11 shops in Gurugram's Badshahpur area on Monday.

All the robberies took place between 1 am and 2 am and thieves looted valuables from garment shops, retail shops and even pharmacy outlets.
Ironically, all the shops that have been looted are located just a few meters away from Badshahpur Police station.

The looted traders expressed their anger not only with the massive rise in thefts, but the lethargic approach of the police. According to the traders, police who were in doing night shifts refused to follow up on the traders' complaint by and told them to file complainants in the morning.
Protesting the police's attitude, some traders blocked the Sohna–Alwar road on Monday.

The traders were later assuaged by assurances from Rajendra Singh, SHO, Badshahpur Police station.

A team of forensic experts, along with officials from Gurugram Police Crime Branch visited the area and began investigations. Speaking to Millennium Post, Jagat Khatana, whose pharmacy outlet was burgled by the robbers said: "This is not the first time that such a heist has taken place here. With police taking no action, these criminals again targeted us on Monday.

After getting the news, I and other traders went to Badshahpur Police station at 6.00 am. But there was no follow-up by the police and we were told to come again in the morning."
