Only course wise deduction between 1-2.5% for stream change in DU this year

New Delhi: For changing their streams and taking admission in BA Pass Course from a honors course in Delhi University admission this year would cost the students only one to 2.5 percent over the specific course change, moreover, the university will not deduct any percent over the stream change.

This is because of the newly set admission norms and high cut off marks taking admission in the university. Students are thus very disappointed with another such norm, which according to the students is disparity to them.

To understand this even better, if a commerce students who had Physics, Chemistry, Math and English in his Class XII and he wants to seat for BA programme in which he is eyeing for a humanities subject, there would be deduction upto one percent marks of the students from what he has got in his Class XII examinations. Similarly, if commerce students want to pursue a BA pass course from the university they would lose anything close around one percent of their acquired marks.

Moreover, if a student opted two subject change in their respective best four, he would have to face a merely 2 percent cut off from their aggregate total of best four, similarly, in case a any student include the subjects for vocational in their best four will face a deduction of 2.5 percent from their best four total. Many of the students try to apply for BA programme as it allows them to prepare for civil services or other such examinations, as pointed out by a DU professor. But this year's admission norm under which the students might lose one to 2.5 percent, they would go for the BA programme.
