One gangster from self-styled vigilante group held

A man was arrested on Thursday who is a member of a vigilante group who prepare lists to kill anti-nationals, gangsters and other anti-social elements.
The accused, identified as Aman alias Azad, is a gangster himself and a sharpshooter belonging to the Rajesh Bharti gang, which had orchestrated two murders in south west Delhi and a road rage incident in Kanjhawala area.
The accused was arrested on Thursday after the police had received an information that he would be visiting Baroda village, Haryana to commit more murder along with his associates.
"We managed to arrest him before he could carry out his plan. A Fortuner car which was found to be stolen from Naraina was also recovered," said a police official. The police have claimed that the accused was inspired by Bollywood movies on gangsters and was highly influenced by Sanjay Dutt's roles in many movies of the similar genre.
"He had also killed a man now identified as Rajender Singh. He was also involved in several arms act cases and later ended up joining the Rajesh Bharti gang," the official added.
The gang, police have claimed used to throw pamphlets showing the hit list to create terror in their areas of influence and gain supremacy.
