One dies in Ghazipur flyover accident

One person had died and three others were injured when a tempo rammed into a stationary truck in east Delhi's Ghazipur area on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Ram Baksh, succumbed to his injuries while he was on his way to the hospital.

The accident took place near the Ghazipur flyover around 5 am.

According to a senior police official, the truck had broken down due to some reasons and the driver decided to call for help.

While the driver waited, the incoming tempo rammed into the stationary truck as the injured claimed that they could not see the parked truck.

A passerby called the police and informed them about the incident after which the fire services were also pushed into action. The injured were shifted to the local hospital.

The body of Baksh has been sent for post-mortem.
