One dead, two critical as SUV rams into parked truck

NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old man died while his two friends were critically injured after the SUV they were travelling in rammed into a parked Tata 407 from behind in Mehrauli on Tuesday night.
The incident took place around 10.30 pm, when the trio were returning home in a Scorpio. Police said that as the car reached the 100-foot road in Mehrauli, Arvind Singh reportedly lost balance of the speeding vehicle and rammed into the stationary truck.
DCP (South) Romil Baaniya said on Wednesday, "Arvind was the owner of the Scorpio was driving."
The impact of the collision was such that Sameer, one of the occupants, was immediately crushed to death, while his friend Irfan Ali and Arvind, both in their twenties, were critically injured.
