Notification of 351 roads: MCD commissioners seek more time

NEW DELHI: The commissioners of the three Delhi Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCD) on Monday sought two days' time from the Urban Development department of Delhi government to clear doubts regarding the notification for change of land use of 351 roads.
Delhi Urban Development Minister Satyender Jain had on Monday summoned the commissioners and senior officers of three MCDs on the issue of changing the land use of 351 roads to commercial and mixed land use.
Jain alleged that the MCDs and the BJP-led Opposition was delaying the process of notifying the roads and troubling the traders with sealing and conversion charges.
"We have asked several times asked for the relevant documents notification of the 351 roads. But the BJP-led MCDs could not submit documents till now," said Jain on Monday.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta again alleged that the AAP-led Delhi government was deliberately delaying the notification of roads.
