North MCD, SDMC seal over 100 commercial units in city

New Delhi: South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Monday sealed 76 points of 40 properties in West and South Zone, while North Delhi Municipal Corporation sealed 31 units in Hudson Line and Outram Line on Monday. The sealed units include banks, restaurants, clubs and bars.
Taking action against illegal constructions and misusing of properties, the building department of SDMC South Zone sealed 44 points of basements and upper floors of 17 properties at Hauz Khas Market.
The major establishments sealed were National Insurance Corporation of India, ICICI Bank, PNB, Mudra Bank and a private gymnasium.
Similarly in West Zone, 32 points of 23 properties were sealed in three markets, namely H Block Bali Nagar, BK Dutt market Rajouri Garden and Club Road Panjabi Bagh.
In Bali Nagar, a HDFC Bank, Boom Club, a call centre and 'Bharat Music House' were sealed. In Rajouri Garden, a PNB locker, a State Bank of India branch, an Indus Bank locker, Bombay Restaurant, Mashaba lounge and bar were sealed.
