North MCD allows use of toilets in all 270 hotels

The North Delhi Municipal Corporation has allowed the use of toilets in all 270 hotels/restaurants falling in its jurisdiction for women and children after consultation with owners/associations of hotels/restaurants. This facility is available free of cost.
North MCD Mayor Preety Agarwal on Tuesday informed that this decision has been taken to facilitate women and children especially in areas where public convenience are not available.
The facility is available in 47 restaurants/hotels in Karol Bagh zone, 12 restaurants/hotels in Narela zone, 72 restaurants/hotels in Rohini zone, as many as 34 restaurants/hotels in the Sadar Paharganj zone and 14 restaurants/hotels in the city zone.
This would be in addition to the facilities made available by the corporation. Agarwal further said that for information and awareness about convenience is available; stickers are being stuck in front of restaurants/hotels. This is another step in the direction of Swachh Bharat Mission.
