Noisy motorcycle results in scuffle between two groups in Shahdara

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police on Saturday said it registered cross cases on two groups for clashing with each other and creating a ruckus in MS Park area of Shahdara.

In a CCTV footage obtained by cops, men were seen breaking bikes in a lane with lathis and sticks. The incident was reported on October 31 when a resident of MS Park, along with his relatives, started ransacking the bikes.

Cops said that the immediate provocation for the ruckus was the loud sound made by a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle of a resident of the area.

On October 31, the fight took an ugly turn and scuffle was reported. The police team was seen reaching the spot, but the men continued the brawl despite presence of cops.

"There was a fight between two families over some loud sound being generated by a Bullet bike, there was some manhandling of the bike as well. One side called more relatives and they again got into a brawl. We have registered two cases under sections 323, 341 and 506 of the IPC from each side," said DCP (Shahdara) Meghna Yadav.
