Noida homebuyers ask DM to take action against Amrapali

A contingent of homebuyers from various delayed residential projects of Amrapali builder's group, across the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida, met Gautam Buddh Nagar's district Magistrate BN Singh on Wednesday and demanded action against the builder for failing to deliver the flats even after years of wait.
A group of nearly 50 homebuyers handed over a written memorandum to DM on the name of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and demanded to register a case against the Managing Director of Amrapali builder's group Anil Sharma who as a single builder has made thousands of home buyers suffer.
"The homebuyers have handed over their memorandum to us. We will forward it to the Chief Minister of state. Whatever directions we will get from the government, we will follow and implement them immediately," said B N Singh, District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
The homebuyers alleged that the builder has cheated them and has failed to deliver a single unit even after making the full payment against their flats.
"We have already paid almost 95 per cent of the total flat cost, but the builder is yet to finish the construction on site. We demand a state-level intervention in the issue. Futures of too many homebuyers and their families are now at stake because of a single builder. Action has to be taken against him in order to provide justice to these homebuyers," said Nitish Singh, one of the homebuyers of Amrapali's project in Greater Noida West.
Some buyers also claimed that they are forced to live in their houses without being provided with the basic amenities such as lifts, security and cctv cameras.
