Noida, Gzb see fall in air quality too

Noida: Noida and Ghaziabad saw considerable fall in the air quality on Sunday, with pollution levels of both the cities placed under very poor and severe category with index value worse than a day after Diwali. The air quality doesn't seem to be improving, with Noida registering a dangerously high Air Quality Index of 376, while Ghaziabad registered much more severe AQI levels of 439 on Sunday.

The records provided by Central Pollution Control Board showed dangerous trend in pollution levels with the average of PM2.5 (particles with diameter less than 2.5 mm) recorded very poor by all the monitoring stations across the district, ranging 430. The average PM10 levels ranged 408 at 12:00pm.
Gautam Buddh Nagar's district administration has issued an advisory to discourage outdoor activities and suggesting those with asthma to keep the medications handy. The administration has also advised people suffering with respiratory problems to wear respiratory masks of N-95 or P-100 standards while going out especially in early hours.
