Noida Authority plans to build canteen at Sec 155

Noida: In a bid to facilitate the labour class people working in the newly proposed industrial sector in Noida sector 155, the Noida Authority has planned to build canteen to provide affordable food to them.

Also to look after their children while they will be away from home for work, authority will build crèche in the newly built sector.

"We have come up with an idea to construct canteen and cheap eateries where a person can easily get a vegetarian meal at Rs 10. The authority will construct the canteen premises which will be handed over to the labour department who will then hold the responsibility to run the canteen and provide affordable and hygienic food to these workers," said Amit Mohan Prasad, Chief Executive Officer, Noida Authority.

"The canteens will run under state government's affordable meal's scheme where the workers and employees, who will be working in these factories and companies, can get affordable meals. We are focused more to provide a relief to those poor workers who cannot afford to purchase food from various eateries," added Prasad.

"We have also planned to build a crèche in the industrial sectors where the female workers can bring their children along with them who will be looked after by the care takers," Prasad continued.
