Noida authority opens another plastic bottle crusher machine

Noida: In another step to achieve an improved ranking in Swachh Survekshan 2020, Noida authority, on Friday, opened up another plastic bottle crusher machine and an e-waste collection centre. The authority also opened thaila (cloth bag) banks in two separate sectors of Noida.

The e-waste collection bin has been placed at sector 25 market of Noida while one of the thaila banks was also opened at the same location. Another thaila bank was opened in sector 19 of Noida. Authority believe that the move will reduce usage of plastic carry bags as people can collect a cloth bag from the center free of cost and return back after ferrying groceries or other household goods, home.

Also the authority has installed a Plastic bottles crusher machine beside HDFC ATM in Sector 18 market. Officials said that with the opening of these facilities, people would now be able to dispose single-use plastic bottles as well as electronic waste.

The inauguration ceremony was done by Noida MLA Pankaj Singh along with Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority, Ritu Maheshwari. Singh also distributed composting kits at another event held in Gangotri Club, Sector 26, Noida created awareness among people against single use plastic.
