Noida authority launches mobile app for street light grievance redressal
Noida: The Noida authority, on Friday, launched a mobile app for LED street light grievance redressal. The mobile application was launched by Noida authority's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ritu Maheshwari.
As per a senior authority official, people can register complaint of any non-functioning street light in their area through the app.
"The application is available on google play store as well as apple store by the name 'Noida Smart LED Light'. A person can register their complaint of non-functioning street light in their area through the app which will be replaced within 48 hours. A dedicated control room has also been set up to monitor the complaints. Through the new system, the authority wants to ensure women safety and will curb petty crimes like snatching that occur mostly at dark spots," said a senior Noida authority officer.
The authority has a tie-up with TATA projects limited to change 74, 000 street lights in Noida with much efficient and power saving LED lights. "Around 64, 850 street lights in Noida have been
converted into LED while rest will be changed soon," the officer added.
