No parking at Metro stations from Monday till I-Day

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to keep parking at all the stations of Delhi Metro completely closed, keeping in mind security concerns ahead of Independence Day on Tuesday.

In an advisory issued on Saturday, the Corporation stated: "Parking facilities will not be available at the Delhi Metro stations from 6 am on Monday i.e, August 14, 2017, till 2 pm on Tuesday i.e, August 15, 2017, in view of the security measures adopted on the occasion of Independence Day"

There are more than 90 authorised parking lots within the network of Delhi Metro, which includes 164 stations, including the Airport Express stations.

The service will use the opportunity to clean the vacated lots in the Swachch Bharat spirit and will depute officials to ensure compliance, it said.
