'No irregularities in govt run disability homes'
NEW DELHI: After reports of irregularities
in Delhi government-run homes for disabled children the government inspected
the complaints and found no such irregularities. According to the officials, Social
Welfare minister Rajendra Pal Gautam
visited Ashadeep Home for Mentally challenged persons at Narela. On a surprise visit
Minister inspected the home to take stock
of the facilities, which houses 120 inmates. "Minister is pleased to see the cleanliness and bedding facilities. It has been wrongly reported that the inmates are not getting proper facilities vis a vis cleanliness and caretaking. But after a thorough inspection in each room, the team did not find any issues related to caretaking, housing, food and bedding facilities. No health issues have been reported as well," said an official.
