NMRC launches bus services between Noida, Gr Noida West
Greater Noida: In a bid to enhance transportation and road connectivity, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) on Wednesday started a city bus services between Noida and Greater Noida West.
Officials said that the buses will ferry commuters between Ace City Society in Greater Noida West and Shashi Chowk near City Centre Metro station.
According to NMRC officials, the bus services on this 15 km-long route will charge a person between Rs 11 and 32.
"The route will have a total of eighteen stoppages in between, which will majorly cover all the residential societies of the area and enhance the last mile connectivity," said a senior NMRC officer.
"Residents of high-rise societies in the area were demanding to provide bus connectivity from their societies. Considering their needs, we have extended the route of two buses which will be plying till Ace city now," said P D Upadhyay, Executive Director (Finance), NMRC.
The officer further informed that bus services will be available from 8 am onwards on the new route number 312+ from Shashi Chowk to Ace City and from 8:05 am onwards on route 312-, from Ace City to Shashi Chowk, till 8.40 pm.
The buses will cover a total of five rounds each in the morning and evening and will be available at an interval of every 40 minutes.
Many residents of high-rise societies in Greater Noida West expressed their gratitude to the NMRC for providing bus connectivity to the area.
"The residents of Greater Noida West were dependent on sharing auto-rickshaws or private vehicles to commute to metro station or their offices.
"These CNG-operating buses will not only provide smooth ride between the two cities but would also ensure the security of women, children and senior citizens. Now, women would feel secure while travelling in these buses even during late hours," said Shalini Sharma, a resident of Stellar Jeevan society in Greater Noida West.
The buses plying on this route will take a stoppage at all major societies including Ace city, NCR Monarch, Stellar Jeevan, Supertech Eco Village, Homes-121, sector-71 before reaching Shahi Chowk via Noida city Center metro station.
