NMRC files complaint against people defacing Aqua line metro pillars

Noida: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has filed police complaint against people who are defacing metro pillars at Aqua line, the newly constructed metro corridor between Noida and Greater Noida, by pasting ads. The complaint has been filed at sector 49 police station of Noida, following which the police have lodged an FIR into the matter.

As per NMRC officials, a few posters of private schools and other organisations have been found pasted at the metro pillars at Aqua line between sector 51 and sector 76 metro stations.

"Such a commercial use of public property is not only illegal but also defame the authenticity of metro corridor. We have already issued notices against such an use of public property at the metro corridor but still some schools and private organisations have been found flouting the rules. We have given a written police complaint to take necessary actions against the violators," said a senior NMRC officer.

Meanwhile police have registered an FIR against a private play school on the basis of complaint filed by NMRC board.

"Based on the complaint received, an FIR under section 3 of prevention of public property act has been registered against Makoons, a play school at Amrapali silicon city in sector 76 of Noida. We will add names of other violators in the FIR and actions will be taken against them," said Ajay Kumar Agarwal, Station House officer at sector 49 police station.
