Noida-Greater Noida Metro might have started slow but gained a whopping pace in the past few months.
The achievement thus attained to move in the direction of finishing the project with such a pace was recorded worldwide and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) was appreciated by the Limca Book of World Records. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation collaborated with the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) to carry out the construction in the area.
The senior officials of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation give credit of such an achievement to the engineers, local authority and the cooperation of the local people that helped them.
"The construction work of Noida-Greater Noida Metro has been remarkably carried out by our engineers. We appreciate them for their efforts and the enthusiasm they are showing. Apart from this, we also want to thank the local authorities for timely and proper allocation of the land to us which was required to build 21 elevated stations on this track. The cooperation of the local people has also been great which proved to be a much helping hand for us.
"These were the reason why we managed to register our name in the Limca Book of World Records. We request them all for their further cooperation and efforts. If everything goes well, we will begin the operations of the Metro by end of 2017. We will come up with more new amenities once the model code of conduct gets over," said Shailendra Bhatia, Officer on Special Duty, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), in a detailed interaction with Millennium Post.
The 29.7-km long Metro corridor will connect Noida to Greater Noida and the construction will be finished by September end. Around 1 lakh fifty thousand commuters will be benefitted after the network is operational.
