Nigerian who concealed drugs in speakers held

NEW DELHI: The Special Task Force (STF) of Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a 26-year-old Nigerian for drug trafficking. Police claimed that the accused used to conceal the drugs in audio peakers to avoid detection by the Police.
According to police, the accused was identified as Justin, a native of Lagos, Nigeria.
Recently, one informer approached the Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Branch, (STARS and STF), G Ramgopal Naik, with an information of drugs trafficking in Delhi and NCR.
The accused was arrested on November 24 after a tip-off that the accused would come near Dada Dev Khel Parisar, Palam, Dabri Road.
During his cursory search, 260 gram of heroin was recovered.
The recovered heroin is worth around Rs 26 lakh in the international market.
The DCP said that during his interrogation the accused Justin revealed that he had come to India on a business visa in 2011. He started exporting clothes to Nigeria from Ludhiana, but he suffered losses. During this period, he came in contact with locals who introduced him to drugs, and he also started consuming heroin.
Gradually, he started supplying of narcotic substances, as his friends from Nigeria were also doing drug trafficking. The accused was previously arrested by Punjab Police for drug trafficking. After completing his sentence, he moved to Delhi and started supplying heroin.
