Rlys' women welfare organisation hosts sports meet for kids

The Indian Railway Women's Welfare Central Organization (IRWWCO) on Monday organised a sports meet for the children of the staff and officers working in the Railway Board and other PSUs and departments of the Ministry of Railway like RITES, IRCON, CRIS, IRWO, CONCOR, DFCCIL, RVNL, etc.

A K Mital, Chairman, Railway Board who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, gave away certificates, prizes and souvenirs to the

winners while the event

was earlier inaugurated by Rashmi Mital, President/IRWWCO.

Nearly 200 children of between 7-15 years participated in various events. The events in the athletic field included flat race of 50 metre, 100 metre, hurdle race, sack race besides innovative races like chocolate race, juice race, frog race, cap race, three-legged race, skipping race, thread needle race and others. On this occasion, a colorful cultural programme on Rajasthani folk dance was presented by the cultural team from Adra Division of South-Eastern Railway.
