National Abilympics flagged off

New Delhi: The National Abilympics 2019, which showcases the talent of People with Disabilities (PwDs), was flagged off in the Capital on Friday at AICTE Campus. The event hosted by the National Abilympics Association of India (NAAI), under the aegis of Sarthak Educational Trust with the support of The Hans Foundation, witnessed the participation of over 400 PwDs.
The event saw around 50 PwDs (23 Gold and 28 Silver medalists), from across the country competing to secure a place at the International Abilympics to be held in Russia in 2020-21. Deputy Chief Mission, the United States of America, Edgard D. Kagan, said, "Reason for the inclusion of PwDs in the workforce is not because we are kind but it is mainly a win-win proposition for everyone." PwD's are seen to make for more than 20% of the workforce.
Achieving any real growth impossible without inclusiveness:...
