Narrow escape for BJP leader shot at in Gurugram

Gurugram: It was a narrow escape for the 32-year-old BJP youth leader who was shot by three unidentified youths.

The brazen incident took place on Sunday afternoon when the victim, identified as Sandeep, was travelling in his Toyota Fortuner and stopped at a petrol pump in Gadoli for refilling his car.

Suddenly, three unidentified youth came from nowhere and began firing indiscriminately at the SUV. Sensing the danger, the young BJP leader quickly reversed his vehicle and fled from the spot.

Sources said he is said to have sustained injuries on his back and is presently recuperating in the hospital.

Meanwhile, the whole incident is captured in the CCTV cameras and the police have begun to find major leads into the case. It has still not been ascertained that why there was a murderous attempt on the political leader.
