MP Manoj Tiwari inaugurates Meet Nagar Saboli-Golkulpur railway halt

New Delhi: Taking forward the initiative for expanding the reach of railways to the residents of North east Delhi, MP Manoj Tiwari inaugurated long awaited Meet Nagar Saboli-Golkulpur railway halt and dedicated to the people on Monday. According to the statement, on this occasion a train from Saharanpur to Delhi stopped at this halt at 11.45 am. After that this train was flagged off by Manoj Tiwari from this halt. Moreover, Tiwari also purchased a ticket and travelled in the train.

Tiwari said that North East Delhi Parliamentary Constituency remained most backward area because some people indulging in selfish politics and put hindrance in the development works. "Had the dispute about the name of the halt not been created this could have been dedicated one year ago," he said.

Tiwari said that during the elections, thousands of voters asked that we need Meet Nagar Saboli-Golkapur Halt and I took initiative to complete it. After continuously trying for one year, the dispute on the name came to an end and a good facility on behalf of the Railways is now available to the people. "This station is located on the outskirts of East Delhi and lies on the Delhi Shahadra – Shamli- Saharanpur section of Northern Railway. It shall cater to the travelling needs of the daily passengers commuting to and from Delhi each day on this section. The Station was constructed at an approx cost of 1.26 crore (out of MPLAD Funds). About 2-2.5 lakh people living in and around Meet Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Saboli, Mandoli, Nand Nagri and Nathu Colony shall benefit by this Halt Station.
