Mother moves court to file FIR against Mayor on son's death

Ghaziabad: Following the death of a five-year-old kid after getting drowned into an open drain in Ghaziabad on March 13, the mother of the deceased boy has filed an application in the CJM court of Ghaziabad on Tuesday to lodge FIR against the mayor, city commissioner and health officer of Nagar Nigam regarding her son's death.

The CJM court of Ghaziabad has considered the application and the court has ordered the SHO of City Kotwali to produce a report by April 2 in the court. The next hearing is on April 2.

Five-year-old Ayan was drowned to death after falling into an open Nagar Nigam gutter located in Guljar/Chaman Colony on March 13. The incident occured when Ayan was playing with his brother near his home.

Two days before the incident, a four-year-old child Aahil also died after falling into the same drain just a few meters away. The FIR was lodged against Nagar Nigam official in the earlier case in the City Kotwali but no FIR was lodged in the latest incident.
