Missing girl found dead in park, police probe murder

New Delhi: A body of a seven-year-old girl who went missing on Saturday found tied with rope at a park in Outer Delhi's Nihal Vihar area on Sunday. Police have registered section of murder in the case.

According to police, the deceased lived with her family in Nihal Vihar area. "The girl was missing since yesterday late evening. The case under section 363 IPC was already registered, investigation taken up by local police and all necessary steps taken to trace the missing girl. Further, after the body was found, section 302 IPC also added," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Seju Kuruvilla adding that she was tied with rope.

He further stated that the girl had gone to buy some snack after which she went missing.

"Family members conducted search and later informed police about her missing. A case was registered," said DCP Outer adding that they also conducted the search.

According to the deceased's family member, till 3 am they searched everyplace in the Nihal Vihar area.

"In the morning, we again conducted the search from 6 am and later found her body in the park," said the relative.

She was studying in class 1 and her father is an autorickshaw driver. "She went out to eat chowmein after she did not returned in 15 minutes her mother started searching for her," added the family member.

According to police, injuries found in the deceased body.

"Blunt injury was found in the head ," police said.

The law enforcement agency questioning the nearby drug addicts and also other persons to get clue in the case. Recently the body of a six-year-old girl was found inside a sack in Samaypur Badli area of the newly formed Outer North district.
