Minor patient sexually assaulted in Ggn hospital

GURUGRAM: Two staff members of Shiva Hospital in Gurugram were arrested after they were charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl patient.

The ordeal for the victim and her family, however, had not ended with the assault, as the two accused had even tried to blackmail the victim of releasing the video of the act which they had recorded.

After suffering for long, the mother of the victim finally filed a complaint at Sector-14 police station, which forced district police to take action.

The two culprits have been identified as Ravinder, aged 27, and 23-year-old Kuldeep.

They will be charged under Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act and section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.

The incident occurred on November 16, when the girl was admitted in the ICU of the hospital for treatment. Taking advantage of the unconscious state of the patients, the two sexually molested her.

They threatened the mother that if she would inform about the incident, they will remove the medical devices which were key to the survival of the patient. After the patient was discharged, they gave threat calls to the family.
