Minor fire in Metro train at Kaushambi station

A Delhi Metro train, heading towards the Vaishali Metro Station, was evacuated midway after smoke was detected in the train.

The incident was caused due to braking issues at Kausambhi Metro station on Wednesday evening.

According to a DMRC official, a "minor incident" of smoke was noticed due to some braking issues. Services resumed to normal after a little hold up at the station for checking the status.

"The train was evacuated and later passengers were accommodated in the same train to Vaishali Metro station," the official added.
