Minister holds meeting with committee members of Mukhyemantri Pratibha Yojna

NEW DELHI: Delhi Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam on Wednesday convened a meeting with the members of newly constituted Monitoring Committee under 'Jai Bhim Mukhyemantri Pratibha Vikas Yojna'. "The purpose of the meeting is to get feedback from the members of monitoring committee to provide their valuable inputs for improvement of coaching programme under the scheme, once they start the inspection," Social Welfare minister said.

A newly formed monitoring committee has 16 members in which 13 members are from academics who are professors and assistance professors from different colleges, three members are from social work background. Members of the committee will randomly attend the coaching classes for qualitative assessment of the coaching programme. Members of the committee on the basis of interaction with the students enrolled under the scheme, give valuable suggestions for improvement of the coaching programme.

Gautam directed the members of the committee that department is in the process for empanelment of more reputed coaching institutes under the scheme specially for civil services examination and entrance exams for medical and engineering also. Right now, there are 8 empanelled institutes which provided coaching to over 4600 students last year.

List of the students getting coaching under the scheme along with location and time table of coaching classes will be intimated to the members of the committee.
