Medium shower lashes city, muggy days to continue

NEW DELHI: Medium rain lashed at some parts of the capital on Wednesday. It was cloudy with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. The MeT has predicted light rains.
The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 33 degrees Celsius. The humidity at 8.30. a.m was 83 per cent.
Meanwhile, Narela recorded 6 mm of rains, Palam 5 mm and Ayanagar 4 mm.
The maximum temperature on Wednesday settled at 35.1 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
The sky will remain generally cloudy with chances of light showers in some areas of the city, the MeT department predicted.
Previously, the axis of Monsoon trough was running through central parts of the country and easterly winds were blowing over Delhi, due to which isolated rain activities were witnessed over the region.
However, the department predicted that there will be not much change in the temperature and the muggy days will continue. This year, the Capital got a good monsoon but the end of the season received less rain than the expected. The department also predicted that due to proper monsoon the city will also get proper winter.
